WriteShop Primary A Activity Set Worksheet Pack is a set of worksheets used in the WriteShop Primary writing course (please see related review). The set for Book A contains 20 activity pages plus two Primary Writing Skills Evaluation Charts geared to track your young student’s progress as you move through the program together.

You’ll find here a number of charming and innovative pages, inviting your child to practice the writing skills they’ve been learning in the associated WriteShop lessons. There’s work in sequencing, rhyming, brainstorming, making up titles, and just-plain writing to be found here. Friendly illustrations grace the front and back of each worksheet, and the back of each worksheet also contains lined manuscript paper suited to very early elementary-aged learners, for “writing practice.”

There are two evaluation sheets, reflecting the fact that your students will know a lot more in the last five lessons of WriteShop Primary Book A than they did in the first five lessons. I like the added flexibility of this option; the first evaluation sheet is easy, giving the parent-evaluator only a few things to track in moving through the lesson material, and suited to a range of students from those who are just beginning to attempt to “scribble or write letters” to those who are able to write whole sentences. While with the first sheet, you’re looking to see if your student is putting space between words (which was still something I had to watch out for with our third-grader), by the time you’re in the second half of Book A you’re looking at other aspects such as punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. The evaluation sheets are a great tool for tracking progress and record keeping.

Worksheet pages and evaluation charts may be reproduced for single-family use, meaning you only need to buy one set of worksheet pages for all your children that you’ll be taking through this program.

This WriteShop Primary Activity Set Worksheet Pack is also available as an e-book.

The staff at EHO try very hard to answer all our mail. We have had many of our responses to email returned as undeliverable. We also delete unread a great deal of spam. If your email message header sounds like it is spam, it will be deleted. "You Should See This!" or "Have I got something great for you" are examples of subject lines that would be deleted unread. If you use 'EHO' in the subject line it will not be deleted unread. If you have not received an answer to your question, please resend your email. We usually have a delay of 1 to 2 weeks in answering email because of the number of requests we get. Those wishing to request links to our site should read our linking page before writing us.
