With comic book style, the book educates in an entertaining way. The sometimes dull subject of database is incorporated in a clever story with amusing characters that provide information in an interesting way.

The Princess seeks to build a kingdom “where everyone can enjoy a convenient way of life.” This she does with the help of a fairy who teaches her the value and the inner workings of databases.

The Kingdom of Kid produces fruit, which it’s done for many years. In the King’s absence, the Princess learns that the bookkeeping and inventory systems are arcane. She has the most difficult time. There must be a better way… there is, the database.

From data tables to flow charts, The Manga Guide to Databases is a valuable resource to students who wish to know more about the process of information manipulation and storage.

Way back when small computers were new to small businesses (pre-home computers), Lotus 123 was a primitive database program where the user had to build the grids. In the passage of time, databases are much more user friendly, but in that friendliness some of the condensed processes are undetectable to the user. It’s wonderful to find a pleasant way for the current generation to learn the back-story about databases rather than the typical “When I was young…” lecture. The Manga Guide to Databases is a must get for the up-and-coming computer user-friendly generation.

The staff at EHO try very hard to answer all our mail. We have had many of our responses to email returned as undeliverable. We also delete unread a great deal of spam. If your email message header sounds like it is spam, it will be deleted. "You Should See This!" or "Have I got something great for you" are examples of subject lines that would be deleted unread. If you use 'EHO' in the subject line it will not be deleted unread. If you have not received an answer to your question, please resend your email. We usually have a delay of 1 to 2 weeks in answering email because of the number of requests we get. Those wishing to request links to our site should read our linking page before writing us.
