For those interested in discovering the biblical and Christian roots of CS Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia, A Family Guide to Narnia is the perfect companion. Christin Ditchfield, host of radio show Take It to Heart, educator, and renowned children's author, presents an in-depth navigation of the entire series: Magicians Nephew, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Horse and His Boy, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, and The Last Battle.

Each book is presented with approximately 16 different Biblical symbols. Each symbol is then supported with a Bible verse, several Biblical parallels, and a question about the symbol to inspire further thought from the reader.

A Family Guide to Narnia ends with an epilogue containing a letter from CS Lewis and a scriptural index that effectively help the reader. This guide to Narnia is wonderfully thorough and concise; it is so Biblically-oriented that one could use the material as devotional reading. Ditchfield's love for The Chronicles of Narnia and her faith in God produced this insightful guidebook; she wrote A Family Guide to Narnia in an effort to draw CS Lewis lovers close to the love of Lewis himself: the Word of God.

The staff at EHO try very hard to answer all our mail. We have had many of our responses to email returned as undeliverable. We also delete unread a great deal of spam. If your email message header sounds like it is spam, it will be deleted. "You Should See This!" or "Have I got something great for you" are examples of subject lines that would be deleted unread. If you use 'EHO' in the subject line it will not be deleted unread. If you have not received an answer to your question, please resend your email. We usually have a delay of 1 to 2 weeks in answering email because of the number of requests we get. Those wishing to request links to our site should read our linking page before writing us.
