Sometimes sequels are not as good as what they follow, but that doesn't hold true with Hymns for a Kid's Heart: Volume Two, featuring the re-teaming of Bobbie Wolgemuth and Joni Eareckson Tada. This second volumes features 12 more classic hymns, the stories behind them, prayers and Scriptures that fit with the stories, plus a CD that will fill your home with worship. What an excellent notion to read about the hymn and its writer, and then be able to hear it and sing along with Bobbie and Joni and a 10-child chorus! This is a great gift for your children, grandchildren, or any child you love, as well as your church's children's department.

Children ages 3-to-13 will love Sergio Martinez' lovely illustrations that vault them back to earlier centuries, to places like Germany and England and the American Colonies, and into the hearts of men and women who wrote hymns like, "Fairest Lord Jesus;" "Onward, Christian Soldiers;" "When We All Get to Heaven;" and "My Country, `Tis of Thee." A two-page glossary at the back of the book helps children with unfamiliar terms, and a place for notes makes this a book that can receive your child's special memories of favorite songs, or maybe even be a place they can write their own hymn of praise to our Father.

Published by Crossway Books and produced by Focus on the Family, Hymn for a Kid's Heart is a trustworthy product that will call your children - and you - deeper into worship, and help your passion for Jesus Christ grow and grow.
