This helpful book couldn't have come at a more appropriate time. We have had construction going on in our house for almost a year now. With three new rooms to work with, I have found many great storage ideas.

The entire book is completely illustrated, in color, with step-by-step instructions for each project. From building a breadbox to a closet organizer your storage solutions will take on a whole new look.

The first part concentrates on basic techniques, which enables you to learn the lingo and techniques of the "builders world". Imagine the look on everyone's faces as you tell them you've made a shelving unit using Dado and Rabbet joints.

If you've seen those under-the-cabinet, glide-out drawers in a kitchen and have always wanted them, this is the book for you. In 14-steps you'll have the cabinet of your dreams.

Each project begins with a Tools & Materials list and provides a brief explanation and several illustrations. (I need illustrations)

Some of the other projects include:
  • Bathroom Etagere
  • Hallway Bookcase
  • Utility Shelves (this is one I will do)
  • Under-bed Storage Box
  • China Cabinet
  • Pot Racks
  • Pantry Cabinet
  • Project Organizer (great for homeschool items)
  • Tie & Belt Rack
  • Sewing Chest
  • Stackable Storage Blocks
  • Garden Center
  • Laundry Supply Cabinet (have this one started already)
  • Outdoor Storage Center
  • And much more!
My husband is not a hands-on kind of guy. He doesn't enjoy woodworking in any form or fashion so this book is a blessing. You can save quite a bit of money if you do it yourself and you'll have exactly what you want.

Just flipping through the book and looking at the photos has given me some great ideas for storing our homeschool items. I think it would be great to have a shelving unit, with doors, to store our games, puzzles and craft kits. The possibilities are endless!
