The Creative Life is a workbook of sorts designed to help the reader take active steps in enjoying a creative life. Each of us has her own idea of what the word "creative" means. To one, it might express artistic ability. To another, it might translate as having unique ideas. To a third person it might mean being different from everyone else. This book helps the reader see that all three of these definitions of "creative" are correct, and there are so many more ways we can be creative. Being creative also helps us as a Christian in that we are able to celebrate God and our lives in so many ways. To quote from the back of the book, "To enjoy a creative life we need to free ourselves from creative blocks and experience more of Christ's inspiration, putting aside our inhibitions, fears, and sin patterns". This book will hopefully help you break through those creative blocks so you can develop your Christian imagination.

This workbook can be used so many different ways. You can complete the book by yourself, as part of a small group, or with a group leader. The 8 chapters of the book are a mix of Bible study, journaling, introspective reflection and other exercises to help you look inward at the creativity inside you. The 8 chapters of the book are broken down into five-hour segments, which means you can complete each chapter in a week. But, as the author states, this book can also be completed in less than 8 weeks or stretched out over a several month period.
