One Hundred and One More Devotions for Homeschool Moms is a book written by a homeschool mom for homeschool moms. Being a homeschool mom means there are days when you think your kids are wonderful, that your daily lessons were superb and that all is well with the world. Then there are days when you wonder why you are doing all this when it would be so much easier to let someone else school your children. There are days when you feel horribly alone and that you, and you alone, are the only one who feels the frustrations you do. These are the days when you feel you need someone to understand what you are going through and only another homeschool mom can be that someone.

This book is for those days full of frustration and despair. Jackie Wellwood knows firsthand the challenges of homeschooling. She is the mother of seven and has been homeschooling for more than ten years. This book she has written is a sequel to her first bestseller, One Hundred and One Devotions for Homeschool Moms.

This book contains 101 brief chapters that let the reader pick up the book for only a few minutes each day, if so desired. I discovered, though, that I didn't want to stop reading after just one chapter. Each chapter is 2 pages in length, which makes the book easy to read while waiting in line somewhere, while sitting at a soccer game, or while taking a few quiet moments to rejuvenate.

At the end of each small chapter is a short prayer Ms. Wellwood has written to focus the reader's heart on the Lord. These prayers help the reader to see what we should be thankful for and where we might need to ask for help.

At the end of the short prayer are 3 questions that cause the reader to pause and think about how the stories and devotions relate to her life. The stories are about topics that affect most of us - husbands, children, the Lord, character - and many more. At the end of the book are several pages in which the reader can write her own personal reflections or questions. One Hundred and One More Devotions for Homeschool Moms is a book that helps the reader gain greater insight into her own thoughts and lets the Lord into her heart.
